Laboratorium was created from a simple yet very creative idea, to transform forgotten spaces into platforms where creativity flourishes and communities unite.
Multi-functional centre where artists, designers, and creatives can exchange ideas and express freely.
Lab seeks to cultivate an environment where culture, education, and craftsmanship intersect, igniting passions and sparking collaborations. We believe in the transformative power of collective expression that blossoms into a vibrant cultural tapestry, breathing new life into the heart of the city.
To illuminate Skopje with artistic and cultural expression, then cross borders into other cities, countries, and even continents. We dream of transforming abandoned spaces into shelters of inspiration, where every brushstroke, melody, and idea weaves a story of hope. Laboratorium aspires to be a crossroad for dreamers, a safe space where future artists and visionaries converge, co-creating a universe where human expression is cherished and celebrated.
Within a few short months, Laboratorium grew from a relic of the past into an open space for music concerts, performative acts, educational seminars, creative workshops, international exchanges and a variety of social gatherings yet to be discovered. The Lab manifesto is simple and based on the Robin Hood philosophy. But Lab does not TAKE or GIVE anything to anyone. Lab simply REINVESTS what it earns from commercial clients.
In young starting artists, independent visual artists, self-publishing authors, indy bands. In everyone who needs a platform to get the chance they deserve to showcase their art. Something that is very scarce in today's culture scene.
The team of 23 inter-generational cultural and service workers with a mission to revitalize the cultural scene, support the artists and stimulate education and an ultimate goal is to spark positive social impact by inspiring creative communities to establish, network and promote their work to the public.
